CIDETRAK® NOW MESO™
for Navel Orangeworm, Amyelois transitella, in Almonds and Pistachios.
CIDETRAK NOW MESO is a high performance pheromone-based dispenser for navel orangeworm mating disruption in almonds and pistachios that significantly reduces trap capture, “mating” and damage with a proper management program!
Navel orangeworm, Amyelois transitella, or NOW primarily attacks almonds and pistachios. However, it can also affect walnuts, figs, and pomegranates. Specifically, navel orangeworm larvae bore into and consume the nutmeats of almonds and pistachios. Larvae can also consume most of the nut, leading to significant economic damage due to nut destruction. Typically, more than one larva feeds within a single nut.
Furthermore, CIDETRAK NOW MESO delivers exceptional full-season navel orangeworm mating disruption through post-harvest with remarkably low dispenser rates and the widest A.I. rate range for almonds and pistachios. Most importantly, the dramatic reduction of dispenser rate and increased performance results in less labor, less insecticide and less damage. Finally, the ready-to-use carrier package and patented rotating-hanging device make applications easier: The low dispenser rate (20/AC or 50/HA), makes it a labor and cost-efficient option.
Overall, CIDETRAK NOW MESO is a crucial tool in an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy for navel orangeworm in almonds and pistachios.
The product is registered for use in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Oklahoma.
