CIDETRAK® DA MEC®
for Codling Moth, Cydia pomonella, MD in Apples, Pears, and Walnuts
CIDETRAK DA MEC is a high performance sprayable for codling moth in apples, pears, and walnuts that significantly reduces damage when tank mixed with an insecticide as part of a proper management program!
Codling moth, Cydia pomonella, or CM primarily attacks apples, but can also affect pears, walnuts, plums and quince. Codling moth larvae mainly damage fruit with deep entries and stings. Specifically, larvae penetrate the fruit and tunnel to the core.
CIDETRAK DA MEC contains a unique male AND female behavior modifying kairomone called DA (pear ester). The DA kairomone contained in the micro-encapsulated liquid formulation influences the behavior of adult and larval codling moth. Additionally, DA initiates female mating disruption through behavior changes in the female resulting in oviposition disruption, less mating, higher virginity, and lower damage. Furthermore, codling moth adult control is significantly enhanced when mixed indirectly with airborne codling moth pheromone applied as a mating disruption treatment.
Simply tank mix CIDETRAK DA MEC with each insecticide application; it is compatible with various insecticides, shows no phytotoxicity, and provides enhanced longevity for more than 14 days following application.
Overall, CIDETRAK DA MEC sprayable for codling moth is a crucial tool in an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy.
